LiteratureH.M.S. Agamemnon was a Royal Navy battleship completed for the Admiralty in 1852. Of 91 guns arranged over two decks she was the first British battleship to be built with steam engines but due to the ineffieciency of these early engines she was full square rigged on three masts.
A fine sailormade wool work picture of H.M.S. Agememnon depicted off a headland with a cutter nearby. Excellent colour and detail, within a fine oak veneered frame of the period. English circa 1850.
